Following the success of the Sleep Token x Download Festival 2025 activation, RCA Records once again partnered with Certifi to take the experience global, this time across 17 North American arenas. The brief was to translate the mystery and devotion that define Sleep Token’s fan culture into a scalable, tour-wide digital experience that rewarded their most dedicated followers. The result was a city-by-city, lore-based AR hunt that engaged over 320,000 fans, with a 75% conversion rate from scan to sign-up, setting a new standard for fan activations on a major arena tour.

Mechanics of the Activation

Venue-Based QR Treasure Hunt:

At each of the 17 tour stops, QR codes were hidden around each arena, from concourses and merchandise stands to projection screens and digital signage, creating a digital scavenger hunt for fans to discover.

Lore-Driven Puzzles:

Each night featured a unique Sleep Token anagram, tied to the band’s lore. The anagram changed nightly to prevent sharing online and to ensure only true followers could unlock the experience.

House Allegiance System:

Once solved, fans could declare allegiance to either the House of Veridian or the House of Feathers, receiving a city-specific AR coin and Wallet Pass to commemorate the show they attended.

Geo-Verified Exclusivity:

As with Download, all activations were geo-fenced to each venue, meaning only those physically attending could participate, maintaining authenticity and exclusivity.

Integrated Fan Data Capture:

Every verified participant joined the band’s official fan database, giving Sleep Token and RCA direct access to a new layer of first-party, geo-located fan insight. This fusion of digital storytelling and live discovery turned the pre-show arena atmosphere into a shared, participatory ritual, perfectly aligned with Sleep Token’s mystique.
